2nd October 2004 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F3 - 6 Surf / Sea State: Small chop Air Temperature: 14 Sea Temperature: Cool Weather: Rain / sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wind and weather very variable. Arrived to heavy rain and little wind. Rain cleared and wind picked up to F 5/6 so rigged 5.3 and it dropped off. Started to rig 6.7 and it dropped more. Rigged 8.2 and spent 45 mins waiting for a gust to get planing. About to pack up and the sun and wind came back. Wind still very variable; 8.2 OK most of the time but horribly overpowered at others. Took the 5.3 and Max 2 Air out as it was rigged and planed for 20 seconds. It was that sort of day. The big winds forecast for Sunday look to be coming in very late. |
